We changed our company name to Barefoot Weddings Inc. in 2002 for reasons
of future expantion of our company - we have been hard at work formulating NEW ideas.
We are located downtown at 230 SE Miracle Strip Pkwy (Hwy 98), FWB, Florida- on the corner of Hwy 98 and Perry Ave.-
we're only minutes from the beach!
In 2005 Barefoot Weddings began offering licensing agreements after our barefoot beach wedding ceremony/ format,
arches, aislways and other decoration were federally trademarked.

"How did you get started?"
It all started in September of 1998, when I came here on vacation from Kissimmee
(Walt Disney World area), I never knew Florida had such sugar white beaches that were as fabulous as these !!!
The water is emerald, the sand is soft and white as snow, there are sand dunes covered with sea oats
and the sunsets are breath-taking !!! Sitting on the beach- it all came to me.. I guess some would call it a "vision".
After a week's vacation- I quit my job of nearly 20 years,
put the house I had worked so hard for up for rent, and was here less than a month later.
I absolutely have NO regrets !! smile!)
I certainly have been "blessed" with the success of the business.
Each year is busier than the last therefor we are limited to the amount of weddings
that are booked through our company.... we do not take bookings more than 1 year in advance.

Karen (who is a TRUE blessing to me as a friend and collegue) relocated here from Clermont, Florida December 2000.
We are around one another so much alot of people get us confused- we even "sound" alike!
One important thing you should know about us is... we have a great sense of humor and take what we do very seriously.
Karen and her Husband, Mike, live in Navarre where they have made their home an animal rescue center.
They have over 100 tropical birds, a monkey-- add another monkey,
2 pot belly pigs (biggest ones I've ever seen !!), a lamb, chickens, squirrels, a prairie dog,
2 dogs and 3 cats-and I've probably left "someone" out....
Don't be surprised when you come to the shoppe and see some of the babies
that have recently been rescued; Karen brings the babies here to hand feed ..
there have been 7 baby opossums , a baby seagull, mocking birds, & finches.
Any $$$ from the Chapel ceremonies is donated to Nature First Inc. Karen's non profit animal rescue.
There are alot of advantages to having your ceremony on the beautiful Emerald Coast beaches -
best of all they're "affordable" and stress free!.
98% of our clients are from out of State- most have never been to this area before-
nor their Family and Friends everyone says "they'll be back" to visit.... some plan on moving here !!! smile!)....
The planning of your wedding can be done via internet or phone.. some couples have a planning weekend
and come to meet with us and check out the area Hotelsand restaurants and watch an actual wedding in progress !!!
(It's a good excuse to spend a few days at the beach- smile!)
As of 12/01/2007 we have performed over 3300 ceremonies; each one being different.
"Mother Nature" has been good to us.. we've actually only been "rained out" of 15 ceremonies ..
although it's a good idea to have a "back-up" plan we highly encourage "possitive thinking".
The ceremonies are "up-beat" and even involve your guests; whether you have 2 or 200 !!!
From young adults to Senior citizens. No matter what age or religious preference... everyone can relate to the ceremony.
When describing them; I would say they are more "spiritual" than religious-
However we can add any reading and/ or prayers at the couples request.
We have performed "Pet Weddings", Commitment Ceremonies, Prison Weddings, Double Wedding Ceremonies,
Vow Renewals and "Re-Do's".. (when the couple has previously been Married then divorced)
We'll do anything for our clients- EXCEPT sing !! hehe!)
Our Beach Wedding ceremonies are "unique" in many ways...The verses that are used during the ceremony are verses
that we have designed for OUR clients ... please do not call or e-mail requesting them. ( sorry, we will not "sell" them either)
We strive to offer unique beach wedding decoration from the Wedding arch to aisle ways and much more.
Since there are several "copycat" companies we are always developing "NEW" ideas-
This also "limits" the amount of information displayed on the web-site.

We do offer several Florida Barefoot Beach Wedding packages and are more than happy to accommodate couples in any way that we can.
We are a Florida Beach Wedding Service- we do not consider ourselves "Co-ordinators"..
We do refer clients to the different services that are requested at NO charge..
We do offer our advice... but the couple has the final say.. after all it is YOUR day !!!
We consider it a "honor" to be part of such a special, precious moment in someone's life; and the "spiritual" rewards are priceless !!!
I have had couples and their families come from all over the country...I must say I have met alot of "interesting" people !!! smile!)

Gail became part of our "Family" in 2001 after meeting
Maggie at her Son, Rodney's Wedding. Gail and her Husband, Bill,
use to have their own photography studio in Upper State New York.
Gail loved the beach and had a "special" touch for photography..
which showed in her work; many of the photos on our site were taken by her.
She will certainly be missed ... We are blessed to have had the opportunity for our paths to have crossed and cherish the wonderful memories.
Devin (1 of 5 Grandchildren) LOVES to come work with "Granny Maggie"..
his specialty is making rose petals for the aisle ways...
hopefully on visits to Great Grandma's he won't make petals from her
